Gardens Of Versailles
[ID: G025]
Louis xiv entrusted the creation and part renovation to Andre le Notre of the Versailles gardens in 1661. The art of symmetry and perfection in nature is an exquisite example of man dominating a vision of the natural world. Visual symmetry is something that we as humans absorb as a form of perfection; we resonate with it, in a kind of primordial way, and it provides us with a sense of some sort of utopia that perhaps is never attainable in reality, however we get a glimpse of how it might look. Man has always decorated his surroundings in various ways; Versailles is arguably one of those great green spaces to marvel at the human endeavor and a real delight to photograph.
